Due to the perishable nature of our fresh and frozen truffle products, all orders containing fresh or frozen truffles are shipped via FedEx for next day delivery or USPS Priority Overnight. We can only guarantee product when sent via FedEx, but understand some customers would rather have the USPS option, so we have provided that option for delivery. For orders going to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico we unfortunately cannot guarantee next day delivery.
We also cannot currently ship fresh or frozen truffles to Canada.
How is shipping calculated?
The fee for shipping is calculated based on our current negotiated rates with FedEx & USPS for the total weight of the order. Shipping charges are calculated per ship-to address (zip code) and are based on the total weight of the order.
When does my order get shipped?
Truffle Dog Company currently ships all overnight orders Monday- Thursday for next day delivery. Next day delivery is only available for orders placed online by 12 pm PST.
Non overnight deliveries are shipped within two business days via your chosen shipping method.
How is my overnight order shipped?
All overnight orders of fresh and frozen truffles are shipped wrapped in paper towels to absorb moisture and carefully packed inside insulated boxes with reusable ice packs designed to maintain your product in good condition for over 36 hours in transit. Please note that frozen items may begin to thaw during transit.
Overnight orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico are determined by shipping zone. We cannot guarantee overnight deliveries in these zones. If you are curious about the timely delivery of your shipment, please feel free to contact us directly for assistance.
While we waive the required signature from FedEx for delivery, FedEx may decide not to leave packages in open areas such as apartments or condo complexes. This is outside of our control.
We currently cannot ship overnight items to PO Boxes. All overnight shipments require a street address.
We cannot currently ship fresh or frozen truffle products to Canada due to customs laws. If you are curious about shipment of fresh or frozen truffle products to another country outside of the USA and Canada, please contact us directly before placing your order so we can determine the estimated shipping time.
Refunds (Fresh & Frozen Products)
At Truffle Dog Company we pride ourselves on quality and the high standards of the products we sell. Because of this we take every consideration and implement quality control checks throughout the shipment process.
A truffle care guide is included in every overnight package containing fresh or frozen truffle products. We suggest you follow these guidelines to ensure the longevity of your product but Truffle Dog Company will not issue refunds or replacement products to anyone who stores or handles product incorrectly.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returned merchandise on any fresh or frozen truffles as well as oils or training solutions. If you are unsatisfied with our product you must contact us within 12 hours of delivery of shipment with a photo documenting current state of the fresh or frozen truffles and we will work with you, if possible, to reach an amicable arrangement.
We guarantee, under normal circumstances, that your product will arrive in a satisfactory state via overnight shipping. After delivery Truffle Dog Company cannot be held liable for handling practices or for incorrect storage of product.
Truffle Dog Company will not issue a refund to anyone who refuses a delivery or in any way attempts to return a shipment.
Please check all address and zip codes carefully. Damage due to incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses voids our guarantee. The customer will be responsible for the charges of a subsequent order.
You may cancel a misplaced order by contacting us directly within 1 hour of placing your order and we will cancel the request and refund any payment.
Local Area Delivery
We offer local area delivery for select zip codes currently in the Seattle area for a fee of $25. If your zip code qualifies as a local area delivery option it will appear in your choices as a selction of shipping method. After check out you will receive an email from Truffle Dog Company to discuss the nature and location of your delivery at a mutually agreeable time within a reasonable time frame. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hrs we may not be able to make a location drop off or meeting the following day from when the order was purchased.
We can deliver to businesses as well as home addresses and no signature is required.
Local Area Pick Up (Free)
Pick up is at our Edmonds Location. All pick ups must be made by appointment only and for fresh and frozen truffle products only. After your purchase we will contact you to arrange a pick up time. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hrs we may not be able to honor your request. We will do everything within our power to accommodate your requests but we can make no guarantees about availability.
