Sometimes group lessons just don’t fit your schedule, your learning style, or your training needs — maybe your training is mixed and you need more individualized coaching, or you’d like to bring along just one friend rather than join a full group. Private lessons can be tailored to exactly what you and your dog need.

This pack includes 5 private lessons, plus access to the recorded class content for your current level and our fireside chats, if relevant — giving you the focus of one-on-one coaching along with the group insight that makes such a difference.

Private lessons are available for students of all levels and are conducted in the setting best suited to your team’s current skill level. This Zoom lesson format covers everything from puppy and foundational stages through the intermediate level, as well as field work consults without being in the field itself — all from the comfort of your home.

If this is your first Zoom private lesson with us, we’ll let you know what materials to have on hand for your session based on your current level. Once you’ve purchased your pack, we’ll check in with you to discuss what’s needed before getting on Zoom together.

We design every session so you and your dog can build a positive reinforcement history and real success while working on precise behaviors, handler skills, and your relationship as a working team.

Our instructors focus on building confidence, experience, and teamwork, with the goal of helping you develop into a reliable truffle dog team. Dogs often learn the truffle scent quickly and can locate a wild truffle in a short amount of time — but one find is great, while consistent finding is even better. We work with your dog’s natural abilities and tailor each session to help your team build a reliable, repeatable history of success.

These foundational Zoom lessons are primarily taught by our Puppy and Foundations Instructor, Victoria Gideon.

Lesson times will be scheduled after purchase based on your current skill level — please share your availability with us. We do our best to keep you with the same instructor for continuity until you reach a certain level or would benefit from a different perspective.

Private Zoom lessons may include a maximum of 2 handlers and 2 dogs total (additional $75 fee for the second dog); only one dog is worked at a time for maximum learning potential.

Advance purchase required. An instructor will contact you within 3 business days to schedule your first private Zoom lesson. If we’re unable to coordinate appointment times with one of our instructors, we’ll refund your payment in full.

We understand that circumstances can arise that prevent you from keeping an appointment. Please provide 48 hours’ advance notice for cancellations and rescheduling. No-shows will not be refunded.
