Sometimes group lessons just don’t work for your schedule, or your way of learning, or maybe your training is mixed and you need more individual coaching. Of you want to take a class with just one more friend not a whole group. Private lessons maybe more to your liking to fit your training needs. We offer a pack of 3 lessons that include the level you’re at of one of our recorded classes and the fireside chats. This allows you to have private lessons but also the group input that can be so helpful!
At Truffle Dog Company we teach dogs to find truffles recreationally, but also work with orchard owners worldwide and train dogs for professional level of harvesting on plantation settings (these are specifically planted with European species of truffles). We work with Orchard owners and many folks in the industry. We also harvest and sell our native wild truffles commercially, providing opportunity for some of our graduates to spend more time in the woods with their canine partners and leave the details of fulfilling orders to us.
Private lessons are available for students of all levels and will be conducted in the setting determined most appropriate for the team’s current skill level. This Zoom Lesson is designed for everything from the puppy, foundational stages, up until the intermediate level setting, or a consult on Field Work, without actually being in the field. These Zoom lessons are conducted from the comfort of your home.
If this is your first Zoom Private lesson with us, we will have some material you need bring to the consult/ training session based on what level you are at. Once purchased we’ll check in with you and discuss what is needed prior to hoping on the Zoom together.
We design training sessions so you and your dog can have success and a positive reinforcement history while working on precise behaviors, handler skills and your relationship as a working team.
Instructors for Truffle Dog Company focus on building confidence, experience, and teamwork. Our goal is to help you develop into a reliable truffle dog team. Dogs quickly learn the truffle scent and are often capable of locating a wild truffle in a short period of time. One wild truffle is great, but sustained truffle finding is even better! We take you to the next level by working with your dog’s natural abilities and tailoring situations to help them become consistent truffle dogs with a reliable and consistent history.
These Foundational Zoom Lessons are primarily taught by our Puppy and Foundations Instructor Victoria Gideon
The Specific time of these lessons will be determined after purchase and based on your current skill level. Please let us know any of your availability. We do try to keep you with the same instructor for continuity until you reach a certain level or need a different perspective.
Private Zoom Lessons can be a maximum of 2 handlers, two dogs total (with an Additional fee $75 for the second dog) and only one dog is worked at a time for maximum learning potential.
