Your observations are great and you have a keen eye for leash skills. We would suggest that using a harness (something Millie is allowed to pull on) is a very simply solution to the leash tension that is occurring. Although Gwen is an experienced trainer and could fine tune her leash skills successfully, it is often a bit overwhelming for a new student to work on leash skills in addition to learning a new game to play with their dog. Really detailed and accurate comments. You would only need to decide if the student is able to add the complexity of leash skills or if it is a simpler approach to have Millie use different equipment that allows pulling.
