Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Adventures, Field Days, Workshops

We understand that circumstances can arise preventing you from keeping your Adventure date or attending our workshops or field days. Because these events require considerable coordination, 2 weeks advance notice is required for cancellations and rescheduling.

Refunds will not be issued except in extreme cases.

In the event you need to cancel before registration closes, we will do our best to fill your spot with a waitlisted team and credit your account for the purchase price minus a $50 rescheduling fee. If we are unable to fill your spot, you will not be credited for the purchase price. Cancellation requests received less than 2 weeks prior to the adventure date and no shows will not receive an account credit.

Group Classes

We have a limited number of spaces available in each class, and usually a waitlist to get into classes. For that reason, except in extraordinary cases, we do not issue rain-checks or refunds for missed classes. Please plan accordingly. Because each class is limited in space we can not allow students to come to a different date if they are unable to attend their original date.

Cancellation requests received less than 1 week prior to the class start date and no shows will not receive an account credit.

Dangerous or Disruptive Behavior

We aim to have our classes be a safe place for all handlers and dogs. For that reason, if you are asked to leave class due to your dog being deemed unsuitable to be at the class, refunds will not be given for your remaining working time. The handlers are allowed to remain to audit the course, but dogs will not be allowed back in the classroom. If you have concerns about this with your dog or have a dog who is highly reactive, please contact us and we can set up a private consultation or phone call to see if this class is right for you prior to enrolling in group classes.

Weather Disclaimer

Truffle hunting is inherently an outdoor sport. We operate, rain, shine, sun, and snow–often during the colder months of the year. That being said, there are times when the weather conditions are not suitable for truffle hunting. This includes hazardous conditions such as high wind, ice storms, and heavy snow. For these reasons, we may need to cancel or re-schedule an adventure or class date on short-notice. In the event of a canceled adventure, we will work with you to either reschedule for a later date, or refund your purchase price. For canceled Class dates, we will offer make-up dates for classes or pro-rated private lessons when applicable.
Note: For weather cancellations, Foundations I & Foundations II Classes move ONLINE to ZOOM classes.
If you are planning an adventure, and you would like to avoid the possibility colder weather, we would encourage you to book a date in Mid March through early May as an alternative. December through February can be unpredictable in terms of fo weather from time to time.
